Yerba Mate Leaf


The base of the Day Tea is made from Yerba Mate Leaf which is key for the amazing benefits of this tea.

    • Yerba Mate is sourced from the leaves of the Ilex paraguariensis plant.
    • A 2011 scientific study found that Yerba Mate tea leaves have both anti-inflammatory and anti-cancercapabilities.  Yerba Mate contains something called caffeoylquinic acid (CQA). Scientists found when increasing the concentration of caffeoylquinic acid,  cancer cells died as a result as a result of apoptosis. Apoptosis is a natural process the body should go through, it means ‘programed cell death’, something that becomes disordered when cancer cells are forming.
